The Spectra T50: World-Class Data Protection
For the first time, world-class data protection is available to groups and departments that measure their data in
gigabytes and terabytes, not in petabytes. The T50 offers the most advanced LTO technology and a powerful suite of
capability, setting a new standard that other small libraries can only aim at. It’s simply the most scalable, easiest to
use small library available anywhere.
The Spectra T50 library is built on multiple generations of Spectra Logic hardware and software technology. Its extensive
feature set is identical to the enterprise-level Spectra T950 and the mid-range T120 libraries. The fi eld-proven
architecture common to these libraries is called Spectra’s BlueScale™ environment.
Unmatched Ease of Use
The T50 provides unmatched ease of use, with time saving simplifi ed media handling, a color touch screen with a graphical interface that’s intuitively easy to navigate, and remote management interface that lets you easily track and manage data. The idea is simple: a small, advanced library that can backup and archive data. It can be quickly and
affordably added to virtually any environment, and it scales easily, both in performance by simply adding
drives and in capacity through user installable fi ve slot increment upgrades.
The T50 saves signifi cant staff time and effort with consolidated media handling. TeraPack® technology
lets you handle multiple LTO tapes at a time, grouped in increments of fi ve and protected by a TeraPack
case. Each tape, and the case itself, has a bar code, making it easy to track media both on-site and off-site.
This makes backup and archiving data easier to manage and much easier to handle, saving time, effort, and
ultimately, cost.
